A small furry creature with long floppy ears, Ikrit was a Jedi Master who discovered the Golden Globe on Yavin IV nearly 400 years before the Galactic Civil War. Sensing the globe and its contents could only be released by a young Jedi, he went into hibernation to await their coming. He was awakened centuries later by Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila, students at Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy. The two were able to release the spirits of Massassi children trapped within the globe. Master Skywalker invited Ikrit to stay at the Academy and teach. He chose to remain, and became one of the school's chief instructors.
When the Yuuzhan Vong invaded Yavin IV and the Academy, Ikrit remained behind to distract the invaders and gave his life so that students could escape.
